Is EngageDM free?
EngageDM is free for 30 days with no card required. The trial includes 100 DMs, one Instagram account, analytics and unlimited automations. There is no free-forever plan — when the trial ends your automations pause until you pick a paid plan, starting at $15 a year (about $1.25 a month) or $1.5 a month. Nothing is charged at the end of the trial.
How much does EngageDM cost after the free trial?
Basic is $15 a year — about $1.25 a month — or $1.5 a month if you pay monthly, and covers one Instagram account with 5,000 DMs a month. Pro is $35 a year (about $2.92 a month) or $3.5 a month, and removes the DM cap with up to 50 Instagram accounts included and the option to hide the link text in DMs. Pro Plus is $99 a year or $10 a month and adds priority support. Every plan also sells in 3-month and 6-month periods; paying yearly saves $7 on Pro and $3 on Basic.
What is the difference between Basic, Pro and Pro Plus?
All three run unlimited automations on Instagram's official API with analytics and every template. Basic covers ONE Instagram account with 5,000 DMs a month and 2 giveaways per 30 days. Pro removes the DM cap, includes up to 50 Instagram accounts, re-runs on past posts, the DM queue, public reply variations, contact export, the option to hide the link text in DMs and 5 giveaways per 30 days. Pro Plus is everything in Pro with priority support.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You sign in with Google, connect Instagram, and the 30-day trial starts immediately. No card is collected and nothing bills itself when the trial ends.
Does EngageDM auto-renew?
Yes. Every paid plan is a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly, 3, 6 or 12 months) at the same price. You can cancel anytime from the billing page — the plan then runs to the end of the period you already paid for and stops. We email you before each renewal.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are not refunded once made, except where the law requires it or where we made a billing error. Instead, you can cancel at any time and keep full access until the end of the period you paid for — there is no card on file during the free trial, so there is nothing to refund there.
What happens if I add a second Instagram account?
That needs Pro or Pro Plus — Basic covers one Instagram account. Both include up to 50 Instagram accounts at one flat price, so connecting more accounts never changes what you pay. Each account is a separate workspace with its own automations, all under one login.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrading applies immediately — you pay only the prorated difference for the rest of the current period, then the new price from the next renewal. Downgrading, or moving to a shorter billing period, takes effect at the end of the current period so nothing you paid for is cut short.
How do I pay from India?
Cards and UPI, billed in rupees through Dodo Payments, which adds GST at checkout and issues the tax invoice for every payment. Outside India, payment is by card in US dollars.
