Delete Account
You can permanently delete your EngageDM account and all associated data at any time from Settings â Account.
You have 7 days to change your mind. After entering the verification code, your account enters a 7-day grace period before permanent deletion. You can cancel any time during this window from Settings â Profile. Once the 7 days pass, deletion is irreversible.
What gets deleted
- Your EngageDM account and login credentials
- All automations, DM templates, and configuration
- All contacts and interaction history stored in EngageDM
- Analytics data and usage history
- Connected Instagram account tokens (EngageDM loses access; your Instagram account itself is unaffected)
- Any active or pending subscription â billing stops immediately
Subscription cancellation vs. account deletion are different. Cancelling a subscription keeps your account and data intact until the billing period ends. Deleting your account removes everything immediately, including mid-cycle subscriptions. Refunds for unused time are not automatically issued â contact [email protected] before deleting if you want to discuss a refund.
How to delete your account

Go to Settings â Profile
In the EngageDM dashboard sidebar, click Settings. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.

Click "Delete my account"
A confirmation dialog appears. Type your account email address to confirm, then click Send code.

Enter the 6-digit OTP from your email
A one-time code is sent to your registered email address. Enter it in the dialog and click Schedule deletion. The code expires in 5 minutes.

7-day grace period begins
Your account is scheduled for deletion 7 days from now. You can still log in, use the platform, and â most importantly â cancel the deletion from Settings at any time during this window.

Permanent deletion after 7 days
If you do not cancel, all your data is permanently erased after the grace period. You will be signed out automatically.
Cancelling a scheduled deletion
If you change your mind, go to Settings â Profile or Settings â Account. A red banner at the top will show the scheduled deletion date and a Cancel Deletion button. Click it to stop the deletion â your account will return to normal immediately.
Data retention after deletion
EngageDM deletes all personal data from its databases upon account deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be retained for internal reporting purposes.
Changed your mind? You have the full 7-day grace period to cancel. If you'd rather pause activity instead of deleting permanently, consider pausing all automations. You can cancel the deletion any time before the 7 days expire.
