Recovery Account
A recovery account lets you link a second Google account to your EngageDM profile. If you ever lose access to your primary Google account, you can use the recovery account to sign back in — without contacting support or losing your data.
How it works
- You link any second Google account you own from Settings → Account → Recovery Account.
- On the login page, a "Sign in with recovery account" link lets you authenticate with that Google account instead of your primary one.
- Once authenticated, you are logged into your EngageDM account as normal.
- The recovery account is only used for authentication — it cannot manage automations, access billing, or make any account changes on its own.

Rules and restrictions
- The recovery account must be a different Google account from your primary sign-in account.
- A Google account can only be linked as a recovery account for one EngageDM account at a time.
- You must be signed in to your primary account to link or remove a recovery account.
- The recovery account cannot be used to access billing details, change plan, or transfer ownership.
Removing a recovery account
To remove a linked recovery account, go to Settings → Account → Recovery Account and click Remove. You will be asked to confirm before the link is deleted. After removal, that Google account can no longer be used to sign in to EngageDM.
Frequently asked questions
Can my recovery account be used by someone else?
No. A recovery Google account can only be linked to one EngageDM account. If it is already linked elsewhere, you cannot use it again for a different account.
What happens if I don't set up a recovery account and lose access to my primary Google account?
Without a recovery account, you will be locked out of EngageDM. Contact us at [email protected] with proof of ownership and we will assist with account recovery on a best-effort basis — but there is no guarantee of automated recovery.
Does linking a recovery account affect my automations or subscription?
No. Linking or removing a recovery account does not affect your automations, subscription, billing, or any data in your account.
Can I have more than one recovery account?
No — only one recovery Google account can be linked at a time. You can remove the current one and link a different account if needed.
